Sherlock Holmes Review

Over this past weekend I had the pleasure of seeing Guy Ritchies version of Cherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. as our marvelous detective, and Jude Law as his friend and partner Watson, and all I'm going to say is BRAVO! The thing is besides this film the only other film that has exceeded Mr. Ritchie's usual boohoo films was Rock n' Rolla, which by the by I do recommend everyone to rent.

This film shows how Holmes truly was supposed to be depicted on the silver screen. I think that this film is a must see for those that have seen the past Holmes films. In this version you see Robert (Holmes) fight and notices that he brings out the sexy sensual side to this very smart man. Law as Watson, does the same. His character amazed me by all the action he did so I was very happy with this one. One of the great things about this film was the slow-motion thinking he would do. You saw how he studied a movement before he acted it out and predicted the exact outcome. I was glued to my seat for the entire duration.
I think that this film should be reconized for its spin on a classic detective and recommend that all go and see it.

I give this film 5 Stars!

I'M BACK!

I was out for almost a week and I missed not posting anything!...I have been writing and watching the teev...I was very hurt when I saw that Brittany Murphy had passed. This girl was only three eyars older than me which goes to show that death has no age range. I just hope that I get to see my children grow up and become very beautful young women.

As of today, I am mainly re-reading what I have written and as you can see another player of the story Denille has decided to start his own blog and tell about himself. Stop by and read his intro.

Karah, a Child of the Supernatural

Karah Avayah is my narrator in this first book. She allows you to know her family and exactly where she gets her gift from. She is black, which I thought was very different from the other stories that I have read about Paranormal heroines. I think that going inside this subject at an ethnic stand point was what did it for me. Karah is based on me and how I would have reacted to having such a gift as shapeshifting. Among her kind female shifters are very rare and with their rareness come extremely rare gifts.

Karah is a very smart but non socialable girl, but her world flips when she meets Denille. Denille is also a shifter but is unaware that Karah is also. They have a bond that both families feel is something that may change the course of their race but there are obstacles that test that very bond that holds them together.

Karah is strong but how strong is she to save her race and love the one that she's destined to be with.

I will be posting more information About the characters of Karah, the Child of the Supernatural
and letting you speak with them from time to time so they can speak for themselves. There maybe some things that I dont have the answers to and they may want to explain.

They are very adamant about getting their story correct for the public.

Relationship Reality

I think that people that are alone choose to be. I use to think that I was alone because guys were idiots but I realized it's because I want to be. I think that in order to clear my head and get myself right I had to put the thought of a relationship on the back burner.
I also think that my idea of not a perfect relationship, but a happy relationship period, is to be equally understanding of who we are. If one loves go out every once and a while, but the other desires to stay in, that's a small tear in the fabric. Sometimes little things are what create a large rip in the spave between two people.
I love films. Movies is who, and basically what I am, and I dated a guy that did not care to go. That hurt me a bit because I wanted to share that part of me with him, but I didn't push, I let him do his own thing. But it was that small thing that started my head to tinker about and see other tings that I loved that he didn't and vice versa. I liked to talk about things where as he prefered the silent-you-should-know-what-I'm-thinking- approach. I hated trying to understand what he felt or trying to read between the lines at his bullshit philosophical babble. I ended up calling him "Yoda" because he figured he had all the answers to everyone elses problems except the ones that were slowly building between he and I.
The thing was he tried to keep me and then still do what he wanted, which was almost always none of what I liked to do. I then realized that the reasons we were together weren't going to go any further than they already had.
So for the goodness of my sanity and my books that I'm writing I am voluntarily deciding to be alone.

My Book!

I began writing my book in July and I have high hopes for its publication. It was first just a short story, but then the characters wouldn’t stop talking to me. (No I’m not crazy) They told me that they wanted their story told. So I’m using a pen and paper—literally—to tell their side. I think that my imagination would spark any fiction fanatic’s interests. I like the fact that you can escape to an imaginary world and create characters that have characteristics of real people but also cater to the supernatural world. I love the possibilities of future events and dormant powers lying within the unsuspecting person. I think that when writing you have to also be mindful of change. You can ‘t always have the typical love story and then expect the HEA (Happily Ever After). Sometimes things don’t end happily. Sometimes they end in disaster and you have to work from there. Then sometimes two fall in love but then they have a great incident that pushes them to fall in love with other characters. It may piss the reader off, but they still want to know what happens in the end.
The Paranormal world is more of what I love. There are so many ways to entice a reader and keep their interest and making them not want to stop reading. I think that I have a very broad imagination which I give all thanks to the millions of films I’ve seen and hundreds of books that I’ve read. Not gonna lie, reading has not really been on my to-do list.
I am currently reading J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood and I must be honest, I am so in love with this series that I can’t help but re-read the books over and over again. Ward has a way of writing that keeps you consumed by her characters. She has the ability to write three stories in one book while still keeping the main story at the forefront. And I admit I am taking notes. She has a way with words that makes my emotions come out. Now that’s deep!...LOL…She’s a great writer and I hope to have followers like I follow her works.

Tiger WOODS!

I think that Tiger needs to open his flippin mouth and say something about his so called “transgressions”. Him not speaking out and letting these sluts speak for him is not making his case any better. Granted, he should not have to explain his actions but he should speak out against these other accusations. I think that by him not saying anything it’s making him look like a total douche. Sorry to be harsh but I’m being honest. As I watch the Today show this morning, this chick is saying how in love she was with Tiger and how she got nothing out of the relationship “not even a birthday card” NEWS FLASH: YOU’RE PSRTICIPATING IN ADULTERY…YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE PERKS OF A WIFE!...I think that he disgraced his family by being a complete ROUGE. I don’t follow golf but I do follow success and Tiger is a very successful man it’s just now they’re not following him because of his success on the green , but his success on the blonde, and brunette (OOPS).
In my opinion, he should at least make an appearance, open his mouth and be heard. Now he’s in hiding like some little cub. No need to hide now, show us your form. *Laughs*
Anyway now there are reports coming in saying that he’s a “sex addict”, says the guy who got caught. Now he’s allegedly saying that he’s going to give up golf of it can save his marriage? Yeah more like save his fortune. Cause if Elin walks, she’s taking the money with her and you be assured that it won’t be any small chump change either. *tapping Chin* I wonder if he’d had not gotten caught would he continue to play? Um, yeah, that would be a loud and resounding NO!

So Tiger, buck up. Be a man. Not an animal.

This page is where I go to sooth my addiction for the Twilight Books. I have a great group friends that are of the Experienced crowd. I think that being a 29 year female that loves a series of novels so much is nothing to be ashamed of. I think when you hide your interests in the interests of others you pretty much sell yourself short. I, for one stand at a height of 5'4 so I won't be doing that anytime soon.

So check out what the fuss is realy about. I advise you to read all four: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, they are all great books and you'll go back to when you were a young teen girl or boy, in love, and going through the steps and motions to stay in that love. It's more than Vampires and Werewolves. There are events that can and have occured in real life, this just has a supernatural twist to it.

I've Been Thinking...

This is my maiden post so I decided to introduce who I am. My name is Nikki, aka AmericanDreamer, aka Ahjalon Pinx, and I would like to welcome you to my blog. I have been writing for a long time but never thought it worthy to share with others, but now I have planted my heels in the dirt and firmed my grip on my reality. Writing is who I am. I write every and anything from Poetry, Short Stories (Erotic, YA and even children’s), Film thoughts about past or impending films. I take a lot of photos so from time-to-time you’ll see pics of my family and friends that have a story. This is not to become famous, although I can say I’d not turn up a deal. *Laughs*. I think that there’s someone out here that understands what I say or will read one of my works and feel more confident in themselves, and if that’s the end result, then I’ve done my job. We have to remember we’re not in this world alone and we have to be mindful of others whether it be race, culture, gender or even religion. I would love to read your thoughts on my writing and I promise you I will allow your posts, but they must not be vulgar or demeaning in anyway, I am still human, but I allow creative criticism.
